This Site is not Complete and Under Construction, but here is some useful ventrilo info.

I do not take credit for it, just something I came across and found useful.

Ventrilo Equalizer

Ok so I posted this before on the old Trypants, so here it is again. What this does is simple, for the most part it brings everyones microphone in vent to the same volume. So you don't have to turn up or down the load mouths or quiet kids. I've had some feedback on this that it makes everything sound like you are in a tin can. This doesn't happen for me, but others know the fix for it just ask around.

In the Ventrilo setup menu, open up the SFX. Add a compressor, then use these recommended settings...

Gain : 25 - This controls the volume you want everyone to sound. I personally
used 15 for DoD:S and CS:S, but TF2 was louder for me.

I have no other clue what the other commands do, it just works.

Attack : 0.01

Release : As close to 500 as you can get, I use 498.

Threshold : -35

Ratio : 100.0

Pre delay : 4.0

Like I said, this works for me fine with no issues. I can only answer so many questions, but plenty of people have appreciated this before, so enjoy.
